SUMMARY:Brian Albert Finnimore
DESCRIPTION:In Loving Memory\n\n\nBrian Albert Finnimore was the fourth of five children to be born to Harry (Albert) and Jean on January 28, 1964 in Selkirk, Manitoba. He passed February 6, 2025 surrounded by loved ones, near and far. He is predeceased by his parents and is bereaved by his loving wife, Tracie; his children Brianna (Ryan), Jackson, and Maggie; his siblings Sharon, Susan (George), Barry (Lynn), and Shauna (Robert). He will be missed by his mother- and father-in-law Carolyn and Ross Pawson; his sister-in-law Lisa (Greg); his many nieces and nephews, and of course his many extended relatives and friends.\nGrowing up in rural Manitoba, Brian loved playing baseball, fishing with his dad, and long road trips camping across the country with family. The Yukon and Newfoundland/Labrador were the only territories and provinces left on his bucket list. He did make it to Churchill though!\nBrian has lived across the country: from Vancouver to Moncton and had a long career in the travel and IT industries.\nHe had a love for travel and has visited many countries around the globe. With the city of Boston always being a favourite destination.\nBrian was gregarious, charming, opinionated, nostalgic, sentimental, curious, and a life-long learner, taking a special interest in sports, geography and his ancestry. He also believed it was important to contribute positively to his community and did so by coaching soccer and hockey for the kids, and he often donated his time, labour, and pies to the church.\nBrian was an avid hockey fan and would watch any game, but he most especially loved the Bruins. He was also a big football and baseball fan, cheering on the Vikings and the Astros. He enjoyed playing and watching curling and cheering for Manitoba teams, of course.\nBrian was most proud of his children: Brianna, Jackson, and Maggie. He was so grateful to attend their high school graduations and the marriage of his eldest daughter, Brianna to Ryan.\nWe are proud of Brian’s contributions and dedication to medical research with the donation of his brain and spinal column, to help others in the future who will have to cope with this devastating and rare disease, CBD (Corticobasal Degeneration).\nA Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 12 noon with visitation one hour prior at the church.\nIn lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Brian Finnimore would be appreciated by the family, supporting Research in Cortical Basal Syndrome, at UHN Foundation. Please visit donation link or call 416-603-5300.\n\n \nFuneral Livestream:\n\n
