DESCRIPTION:In Loving Memory\n\n\nMilton was born to Nancy Elizabeth Francis and Phillip Douglas in Layou in the beautiful island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines a place that would forever remain close to his heart.\nIn 1966, he left his homeland in search of opportunity, migrating first to the United Kingdom. There, he pursued studies in engineering – a testament to both his intelligence and ambition. In 1973, Milton continued his journey, settling in Canada, where he lived for many years.\nBefore all of that, Milton began his professional life as a school teacher in his hometown, Layou. Those early years in the classroom reflected his love of knowledge, his calm demeanour, and his desire to make a difference. He was a deeply intelligent man, one who could easily have risen to the highest levels of leadership in any organization. But life, as we know, often charts a different course – and for Milton, a speech impediment proved a silent barrier to advancement. Yet he bore it with grace, never allowing it to define him or dull his dignity.\nIn 1977, Milton married Viona Williams. After that marriage ended, Milton in 2010 entered a beautiful new chapter of life when he married Cora Ann Mardenborough, who sadly passed aways last year. Together, they built a stunning villa nestled in the lush Buccament valley called Cane Grove, surrounded by majestic green hills.\nThat home became more than just a house – it was a haven, a place of peace and beauty, where family and friends were always welcome. Milton and Cora loved to entertain, and many were fortunate to be hosted by them on countless occasions. Visitors to their home shared laughter, meals, memories – moments that stitched us together as family.\nThe landscape surrounding that villa is so breathtaking that even Sandals chose to build their luxury resort right there in Buccament Bay. But long before the resort came, Milton and Cora had already discovered its magic. It was their little slice of paradise, and they shared it with visitors generously.\nMilton was a quiet force – a man of deep thought, strong values, and great kindness. He lived not for accolades, but for connection. He didn’t chase titles, but he built a legacy of love, loyalty, and integrity. In many ways, his life was a quiet symphony – filled with steady notes of wisdom, perseverance, and care.\nToday, we say farewell to a man who gave so much of himself to his family, his students, his community, and his homeland. We grieve his loss, but we also give thanks – for the time we had, the memories we made, and the love he gave so freely.\nMilton is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Pitt-Dowers in Brooklyn, USA and Mrs. Sheila Richardson in Vermont, SVG; brother-in-law Mr. Euston Hamblett and sister-in-law, Mrs. Georgie Francis both living in the UK; sister-in-law Mrs. Shirley Francis here in Whitby; sister-in-law, Mrs. Merle Woods in Villa, SVG; brothers-in-law, Basil Charles and Dave Charles in British Columbia; stepson, Shane Jeffers in the USA numerous nephews and nieces in SVG, the United Kingdom, the USA and Canada;; and scores of other relatives and friends.\n\n\nVisitation and Reflections Service Livestream:\n\n\n \nTechnical Difficulties Disclaimer:\n*In the event of technical difficulties, kindly refresh the webpage.
