SUMMARY:Egbert Olanza Wiseman
DESCRIPTION:In Loving Memory\n\n\nEgbert Olanza Wiseman, a man of immeasurable heart and humble beginnings, passed peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his devoted wife and children. His departure marks the closing of a life lived not for himself, but for others – a life rooted in service, generosity, and very fierce love for family.\nBorn in Guyana, Egbert was shaped by the values of perseverance and quiet strength. Family was always his first priority. He rose early and worked late, driven not by ambition for its own sake, but by a steadfast desire to give his family a life fuller and freer than the one he had known. From early on, he worked hard not for recognition, but to build something lasting for those he loved. His character was defined by giving – always putting the needs of others before his own, not out of duty, but because it was simply who he was.\nIn the early 1970s, Egbert met Marilyn, the woman who would become the love of his life and his partner in all things. Together, they built a life woven with resilience, laughter, and deep, enduring love. With the births of Nichole, Michelle, and Neil, their family was complete – the pride of his heart and the joy of his every day.\nThe Wisemans spent several years in Saint Vincent, where Egbert worked in sales and embraced the rhythms of island life, before courageously immigrating to Canada in 1987. He made this journey not for ease or comfort, but so his family could continue dreaming, building, and growing in a land full of opportunity. Every move he made, every sacrifice, was made with others in mind.\nEgbert leaves behind his beloved wife Marilyn, who walked beside him in every chapter, and his children, who carry forward his legacy of compassion, tenacity, and warmth:\n• Nichole Lai (Brandon), and grandchildren Nathan and Ava\n• Michelle Laird (Derek)\n• Neil Wiseman (Jason)\nHe is also survived by his cherished siblings: Raymond, Helen, Rena, Veronica, Sandra, Allan, Neville, Frances and Mark, each of whom knew the fierce loyalty and quiet support Egbert offered so freely. He is predeceased by his parents Francis and Sylvia Wiseman.\nEgbert had a calm, steady presence and a sense of responsibility that never wavered. His zest for life was as boundless as his capacity for care. He didn’t ask for much, but gave consistently and without hesitation. Whether through a simple act of kindness or a hard day’s work, he showed his love through action, not words. He had a witty sense of humor, a love for music, and a quiet spark that stayed with those who knew him.\nHe will be deeply missed and forever remembered. His legacy lives not just in stories and photographs, but in the lives, he lifted, the family he loved, and the quiet power of a man who always put others first – not because he had to, but because his heart knew no other way.\n\n \nTechnical Difficulties Disclaimer:\n*In the event of technical difficulties, kindly refresh the webpage.
