DESCRIPTION:In Loving Memory\n\n\nIt is with deep love and gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of Philomena\nCordeiro, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, who departed this life peacefully on August 9th, 2025, surrounded by her family.\nPhilomena was the devoted wife of the late Cyril Cordeiro, with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with love, partnership, and faith. Known for her warmth, generosity, and comforting nature, she touched the lives of all who knew her.\nShe was the proud mother of Terence (Diana) and Earl (Phyllis), who remember her as a source of unwavering support, encouragement, and love. Her grandchildren Craig, Blane, Brent, and Blair carry forward her sociable spirit, strong will, and the kindness she shared so freely.\nPhilomena’s life was rich with passions and simple joys. She took great pride in her years\nworking at Burroughs Wellcome, and her days were often brightened by dancing, singing,\nreading, and a lively scratch card. She loved deep conversations and never missed an episode of The Bold and the Beautiful. Her authenticity was her gift, and she lived each day true to herself.\nA woman of deep faith, Philomena often reminded those around her to “keep smiling” and that “God is great.” Her favourite song, Que Sera Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be), captured her graceful acceptance of life’s journey.\nFamily and friends are invited to celebrate Philomena’s life on Thursday, August 14th, 2025, at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 1148 Finch Avenue, Pickering.
