SUMMARY:Gloria Darling
DESCRIPTION:\n\nIn Loving Memory\n\n\nGloria Isadora Darling, born on May 16, 1941, on the beautiful island of Jamaica, passed away on September 20, 2025, at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa. She is the loving mother of Donna, Angela, and Michael, and a grandmother and great-grandmother to many.\nGloria was passionate about gardening and eagerly anticipated the summer months when she could witness her perennials reappear. The delightful aroma of Caribbean cooking filled her home on most Sundays, and her famous fried chicken was cherished and always requested. After retiring from Sunnybrook Hospital in 1999, Gloria dedicated her life to helping others, forming many lasting friendships along the way.\nGloria was a free spirit who loved the freedom to pick and go wherever she wanted, whenever she wanted. Whether it was a simple bus ride to the local bingo hall or a coach bus with her best friend to Casino Niagara, she was always ready to embrace life’s joys.\nGloria cherished Teddy Bears and saved birthday and Christmas cards, often returning to read these keepsakes and smile. Her son wrote a poem for her, which can serve as a poignant reminder of her love for all of us as we mourn her passing.\n“Truest love, not led by ego or pride,\nKnowing you were my mother, always by my side.\nI cried for you as you have cried for me,\nYou may now be gone, but we’re tied for eternity.\nYou gave me life, you held my hand,\nWhat was once a boy, you made into a man.\nI ran to you when I felt fear,\nI always knew you’d be there.”\nThis loss is hard, but it will be okay. I can’t pick up the phone, so I’ll close my eyes and pray.\nGenuine\nloving\noutstanding\nreal\nimperfect\namazing.\nYour love was surreal. Those words are so special and spell out your name. I’ll love you forever, and we’ll meet again.\n\n\n\n\nTechnical Difficulties Disclaimer:\n*In the event of technical difficulties, kindly refresh the webpage.
