SUMMARY:Gerry Frank Miklos
DESCRIPTION:\n\nIn Loving Memory\n\n\n\nGerry Frank Miklos, born in Hamilton, Ontario, passed away on October 23, 2025, at the age of 64. Son of the late Andrew and Mary Miklos, Gerry was a man of contradictions — kind yet opinionated, Mensa-smart, meticulous, humorous, sincere, and always a gentleman.\n\nRecognized for his keen intellect and love of debate, Gerry pursued his studies at McMaster University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, and later obtained a Bachelor of Education from Western University. He began his career at the Toronto Stock Exchange before finding his true calling as a teacher. For over 20 years, he inspired and challenged students in the Durham District School Board, teaching at Lakewoods and Cadarackque Public Schools.\n\nAn avid traveler, Gerry found joy in revisiting favorite destinations, especially Honolulu and London, and loved sharing his travel stories with friends. His generosity was expressed through thoughtful gifts and his zest for life.\n\nGerry retired from teaching in 2019. He will be deeply missed by his close friends Margaret Lazarus and Alice Davis, along with many other friends, colleagues, and neighbors who valued his wit, intelligence, and sincerity.\n\nRest in peace, Gerry. Your humor, intellect, and love of life will be remembered always.\n\nA Celebration of Life Service will be held in honour of Gerry on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax, Ontario (L1T 2Z7). Friends and colleagues are invited to gather for the viewing at 1:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 2:00 p.m.\n\nAll are welcome to join together in remembering and celebrating Gerry’s life, sharing stories, memories, and the love he brought to those around him.\n\n\n\nTechnical Difficulties Disclaimer:\n*In the event of technical difficulties, kindly refresh the webpage.
