SUMMARY:Victola Mayers
DESCRIPTION:\n\nIn Loving Memory\n\n\n\n \nVictola “Vickie” Mayers was born in Uniontown Alabama as the youngest of 5 children born to the late James and Mary Alice (Nee Houston) Harris. In addition to her parents, Vickie was predeceased in death by her husband, Percy Mayers; a daughter, Diane Saxon Carter; One grandson, Gregory Saxon Jr; siblings James Harris Jr, Joseph (Fannie) Harris, Mary Alice (Jessie) Miller, and Carrie Wilson.\nVickie relocated to New York in the 1940’s, where she pursued her education in cosmetology while working and taking care of her three children. She married Percy Mayers in 1962 and relocated to Toronto ON Canada. It was there that Vickie opened her first hair salon called New York Hairstylist at Sinclair and Christie. She later opened a second location in Pickering.\nVickie joined the Unity Church of Agape under the leadership of the late Pastor Violet Headley, where she served faithfully for many years. She was a proud, loving, wise woman-always independent, always willing to listen and give advice to those who came to her, whether it was family or friend.\nVickie leaves to cherish her memories- her daughter, Bertha Johnson; her son, Gregory (Claudine) Saxon; Stepdaughters, Edith Gentles and Christine Szymanski; Grandchildren, Jason (Melissa) Gilchrist, Brandon Johnson, Dea (Brandon) Temple-Johnson, Candace Saxon, Jermaine Sampson, Collin McCloud, and a multitude of Great and Great-Great grandchildren, along with all of her additional beloved family and friends.\n\n \n\nTechnical Difficulties Disclaimer:\n*In the event of technical difficulties, kindly refresh the webpage.
