SUMMARY:John Robertson Price
DESCRIPTION:In Loving Memory\n\n\n\nPassed peacefully in Oshawa, surrounding by love, just days short of his 85th birthday. Sadly, missed by his wife Susan, his children Bob (Dena), Michelle Senior (Dale), Shaun and Michael Graham (Justine), grandchildren Emma (Troy), Dalton (Alyssa), Melissa (Riley), Cassidy, Alexis, Madelyn and Harrison, and great-grandchildren; Ben, Ashton, Jesse, Colton, Aurora, and Savannah.\nJohn loved his adopted town of Ajax. After opening the first trust company in town (Metropolitan Trust 1978 which became Victoria and Grey) , he moved his family from the city and became very involved with his community; associations including Kinsmen Club, Rotary Club, United Way, Councilor for the Town (1988-1992) and what he was most proud of was his financial planning business: Money Concepts/Ajax Financial Planning 1987*-2012, during which time he would often comment on the many amazing and wonderful people he had the pleasure and privilege to serve. After retirement, he grew bored and John became a part time funeral director for Arbor Memorial, which he also loved but had to give up due to declining health.\nAlso survived by his older brother Alton, his in-law siblings Betty Ivay (Peter), John Stone (Maralyn) and Jim Stone (Pam). John is predeceased by his first wife Agnes, the mother of his children, son Ted Graham, parents Henry and Adele Price, and sister Vera. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and hopefully a few friends still left.\nA visitation will be held on Friday, March 20th from 12:00 – 1:00 pm and a Celebration of Life will follow at 1:00 pm at McEachnie Funeral Centre. A Reception will follow at the McEachnie Family Centre.\nIn lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to CAMH Foundation, Operation Smile Canada or a charity of your choice.\nJohn’s family would like to thank Hillsdale Estates for their comfort and care of John in his final days.
