SUMMARY:Robin Charles Mahabir
DESCRIPTION:In Loving Memory\n\n\nRobin “Rob” Mahabir, age 65, passed away at his home in Pickering on September 23, 2026. He was born in Trinidad on August 1, 1961.\nRobin was the beloved son of the late Roy and Babsie Mahabir.\nBrother of Ronnie and Roger.\nLoving Uncle to Justin, Brooke, Ryan and Kyle.\nRobin was known for his witty and blunt sense of humour and his unmistakable laugh. He loved fishing, music, sports and collecting baseball cards, and was a longtime fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.\nMarmora held a special place in Robin’s life. He enjoyed spending time there with his mother and family, whether fishing or simply getting away from the city. He also spent many years driving his mother and the kids to Scarborough Town Centre, creating memories that became part of the family’s routine.\nHis Jeep and Hummer were just as much a part of Robin as the places he drove them, and anyone who knew him will remember seeing him behind the wheel.\nRobin worked in IT at RBC and lived a quiet life centred around the people and things he cared about. He and his mother shared an especially close bond, living together throughout their lives and spending much of their time together.\nOver the years, Robin faced significant health challenges and many hospital visits. Despite what he was told he might no longer be able to do, he repeatedly surpassed expectations and continued to live life on his own terms.\nAs getting out became more difficult later in his life, Robin placed even more value on his friendships. He made an effort to spend time with the people close to him, sharing beers, conversation and quality time with friends whenever he could.\nRobin fought a good battle and will be remembered for his humour, resilience, his laugh, and the quiet ways he showed up for the people he loved. Robin will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but the memories he left behind will remain with them always.\n\n \nFuneral Mass Livestream\n\n
