Adrian Guerra
In Loving Memory
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Adrian Andrew Guerra, who peacefully departed this world on April 15, 2026. Adrian was born on November 9, 1936, in San Fernando, Trinidad and Tobago, to Emily Guerra and Richard Blackman. His life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication
to family and community.
Adrian was the beloved husband of Christine, with whom he shared 63 beautiful years of marriage. Their journey began on June 10, 1962, in Gran Couva, Trinidad and Tobago, and together they built a legacy of love and resilience, raising two wonderful children, Donna and Glenn. Adrian was also the cherished grandfather to Alyasa, Aneesa, Erykah (Ian) and Savannah who brought immense joy and pride to his life.
Adrian was predeceased by his parents, Richard and Emily, and his siblings Kevin Guerra, Willie, Joseph, Mary, Amy, and Neville Blackman and Clyde. He is survived by his devoted wife Christine, children Donna (Chaudhry) and Glenn (Gemma), his four adored grandchildren, and his brother Ivol. Adrian was loved and honoured by his beloved Tanya, his in-laws, his numerous nieces and nephews, his cousins the Meads and the Tibbs and his many dear friends.
A dedicated educator, Adrian spent his career inspiring and shaping the minds of countless students. His commitment to education was matched only by his devotion to his faith and community. For over 40 years, Adrian was an active member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Parish, where he found solace and strength among his fellow parishioners.
Adrian’s life was rich with interests and passions. He delighted in the challenge of a good sudoku or crossword puzzle and was an avid fan of cricket, soccer, basketball, and baseball. His love for sports mirrored his vibrant spirit, as did his fondness for liming at the park and playing cards with his “fellas.” Known for his kindness and generosity,
Adrian had a love of music, his favourite being jazz and calypso, and he loved to tell jokes, and laugh. Adrian’s fascination with politics and history made him a captivating conversationalist, and his writing skills were nothing short of extraordinary. He possessed an incredible memory and a knack for solving problems that others deemed unsolvable, a testament to his quiet yet strong and dependable nature.
Adrian’s dedication to his family was unwavering, serving as the steadfast head of the family, providing support and guidance with unmatched strength. His legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering support, qualities that will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
