Albert “Pete” Lee
In Loving Memory
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Albert “Pete” Lee on October 22nd, 2026, just one week shy of his 84th birthday.
Pete leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Gisèle Lee (née Chainé). He was the proud father of Martin Lee (Sarah) and Michèle Lee (Todd), and devoted grand-papa to Emmanuelle, Peyton, Sydney and Ruby-Rose.
He was the cherished brother of Léo (Henriette) Lee and Denise (Paul) Corner, and was predeceased by his siblings Cécile Lee-Booke, John (Julie) Lee, Marcel (Wendy) Séguin and Lisa (Roy) Allison.
Known affectionately as Uncle Pete, he was deeply loved by his many nieces and nephews and will be greatly missed by his extended family and countless friends.
Pete was born in Rouyn-Noranda Québec on October 30th, 1942, to Aurore Bédard and Henry Lee. Following the loss of his father at a young age, the family moved to Scarborough, where he spent the remainder of his childhood. In time, he met the love of his life, marrying Gisèle in 1969. Soon after they begun building their family and settled in Ajax in 1977.
A hardworking and honest man, Pete worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Scarborough, where he built a respected career before retiring in 2003. Retirement suited him well. He was known as the family’s number one Montreal Canadiens fan, treasured every moment with his granddaughters, and took great pride in maintaining his lawn and garden.
Those who knew Pete, will fondly remember his sense of humour, infectious laugh and ever-present smile. He had a remarkable gift for making others smile and feel welcomed, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed his path.
