It is with heavy hearts that we share the obituary for Caroline Brunet Saunders, a cherished member of our community who passed away on April 27, 2026, at the age of 47.

About Caroline
Caroline was born on April 19, 1979, and dedicated her life to education, serving as a passionate French immersion teacher from 2004 to 2026. Her influence on her students and fellow educators was profound, as she effortlessly fostered friendships and a sense of community among her colleagues.

Family
Caroline is survived by her loving husband, Herbert Saunders, and their three children, Wesley, Émilie, and Matthew. She was the beloved daughter of Louise Robert-Brunet and Marc-André Brunet and the dear sister of Mireille (Paolo) Testa. Caroline also leaves behind numerous cousins, nephews, extended family and friends who will hold her memory close to their hearts.

Passions and Legacy
Outside of her teaching career, Caroline was an avid dancer, a camping enthusiast, and a passionate supporter of her children’s sports activities. Her vibrant spirit and zest for life left an indelible mark on all who knew her. A close friend beautifully stated, “Caroline was a woman like no other, and I feel privileged to have had her in my life,” a sentiment echoed by all.
