Dalmon Simms
In Loving Memory
Mr. Dalmon Rodcliff Miller Simms, affectionately known as Uncle Bobsie, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Ajax Hospital on the morning of July 5, 2025, at 10:04 AM, at the remarkable age of 93. A man of strength, integrity, and quiet wisdom, Dalmon lived a long and meaningful life, marked by love, loyalty, and dedication to his family and faith.
Born in the birth district of Chapelton, in the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica, Dalmon was the beloved son of Rittanella Stoddart and Jeremiah Simms. From humble beginnings, he grew into a man defined by strength, purpose, and unwavering devotion to the people and values he held dear.
Dalmon married the love of his life, Cynthia Louise Simms, on June 27, 1964, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in North Hampton England. Together, they built a lasting union grounded in faith, love, and mutual respect. Their marriage of over five decades was a testament to partnership and perseverance, raising two sons, Brian Simms and Junior Simms, and nurturing a close-knit and loving family.
Dalmon was a man of quiet strength and deep reliability. He was focused, thoughtful, and principled, never wavering in his dedication to doing what was right. His dependability, persistence, and guiding presence made him a pillar in the lives of many. A true leader by example, he earned the admiration of friends, family, and colleagues alike through his consistent actions and strong moral compass.
In the early 2000s, both Dalmon and Cynthia embraced a new chapter in their spiritual journey, choosing to be baptized and becoming committed members of Ajax Baptist Church. Their faith became an even stronger foundation in their lives, reflecting their enduring commitment to God and community.
Known also for his signature sense of style, Dalmon was rarely seen without his distinguished dress hat. In honor of his memory, the family invites all who attend his celebration of life to wear or carry a dress hat as a tribute to his timeless character and cherished presence.
Dalmon’s legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Danielle Simms, Jeremiah Simms, Noah Simms, Micah Simms, and the late Raina Simms. His life was a source of wisdom, strength, and stability, and his impact will continue to echo through generations.
A man of faith, family, and quiet conviction, Dalmon Radcliff Simms lived a full and meaningful life. He will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever honored.
