Denzil Le Brun
In Loving Memory
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Denzil Earl LeBrun born August 19, 1940, he left us peacefully on November 13, 2024, after a 2 year battle with esophagus cancer.
Denzil known to his family as Pappy was born in Trinidad, then migrated to Canada 1969 with his wife Virginia (deceased) and 3 children, Denise, Colin, and Heather. They arrived in Montreal, where he worked In the Information Technology industry, later moving the family to Toronto in 1976 where they settled and called Toronto their forever home. Many years later he went on to own a restaurant and lounge in Scarborough, a Caribbean spot where live bands would bring Soca and calypso music to the guests. He would bring Soca artists to perform (something his father did in Trinidad), he loved his Caribbean culture and always promoted it whenever possible.
After that journey took its course, Denzil went on to try another career, and at the age of 60 he went back to university to get his Mortgage license. He graduated at the top 5% of his class and assumed his new profession for at least 12 years afterward. Denzil never gave up and was always resourceful in life. He was a definite over achiever with a passion for life. His will to succeed and live his life to his fullest is something we admire most about him.
He is survived by his 3 children, and 9 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.
Denzils funeral will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at McEachnie funeral home 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax. Viewing will be from 10:00am – 11:30am followed by the service.
In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Denzils memory.
