Deta May Campbell
In Loving Memory
Sunrise: February 20, 1942 – St. An, Jamaica Sunset: October 24, 2020 – Toronto, Canada
Deta May Campbell was a loving, resilient, and faith-filled woman whose warmth and grace touched everyone she met. Born in St. Ann, Jamaica, and a devoted member of the Baptist faith, she lived with gratitude, humor, and a steady devotion to family.
Independent and strong, she created a life rooted in love, community, and quiet dignity. Her lifelong love story began more than sixty years ago in Jamaica, when she met her husband, Artwell “Monty” Campbell, with whom she shared laughter and partnership. Together they built a home full of joy, first in Jamaica, then in Canada, where they raised their family with courage and care.
She leaves behind her beloved husband Artwell “Monty” Campbell and is reunited in eternal peace with her daughter Marion. She is lovingly remembered by her son Delroy, the eldest of two, her grandchildren Kameka, Santana, Daniel, and Telisha, and her great- grandchildren Giovanni, Olivia, Amoy, and Toné. Her love, faith, and gentle strength will forever remain the foundation of her family.
Her love is our legacy.
