1945 – 2024

Joseph Mytil, affectionately known as Cools, 79, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2024. Born on March 20, 1945, Joseph was a loving father of seven children and a skilled general contractor and business owner who dedicated much of his life to renovating homes and transforming spaces. His many friends and family can attest to his remarkable talents and craftsmanship.

Cools was known for his great sense of humor, generosity, and deep love for his family and friends. He cherished his beautiful island home of St. Lucia and had a deep appreciation for music, especially country and western.

He was predeceased by his wife, Odelia Mytil, and is survived by his siblings Marcelina Alexander, George Mytill, Neilla Regis, David Regis and Denise Regis . His cherished children include Pulcheria (Cheryl) Mytil, Benphilia (Bennie) Mytil, Benedicta (Ceasaria) Clarke, Brenda Henry, Veronica Clyne, Louise Clyne, and Kevin Mytil. His grandchildren, who brought him great joy, include Ashley Anderson, Annica Rainee Bodley, Brittany Cleopatra, Monique Anna-Lisa Ferguson, Nathan Clarke, Kiann Clarke, and Kingston Clarke. His beloved great-grandchildren are Asha Holligan Mytil and Chase Anderson.

A viewing will be held at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax, ON, L1T 2Z7) on October 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM.

After the burial at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens (1757 Church Street North, Ajax, ON, L1T 4R3), a reception will take place at the Agape Temple Seventh-Day Adventist Church (1999 Fairport Road, Pickering, ON, L1V 4M2).
