Karen Plummer-Gardner
In Loving Memory
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Daliah Plummer-Gardner, who passed away on September 9th, 2026, at the age of 50.
Karen was born on June 7th, 1976, in Mandeville, Jamaica, to Olive Myles and Henrich Plummer. In her teens, Karen moved from Jamaica to Toronto, Canada, where she would go on to build a beautiful life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Karen was a beloved wife to Dean, with whom she shared 19 years of partnership. Together, they built a loving family which includes her four beloved children, Shannon, Deevonie, Tianna, and Adriana.
She is also survived by her mother, Olive Myles; her siblings, Charles, Evan, Kevin, Tyler, and Kirk; and her many nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by her extended family and many friends.
To know Karen was to know how deeply she valued family. She treasured the time she spent with the people she loved and found happiness in being surrounded by those closest to her. Whether sharing a meal, having a conversation, enjoying a good book, or simply spending time together, Karen cherished the moments that brought people closer.
Karen attended George Harvey Collegiate Institute before continuing her education at George Brown College, where she studied Healthcare Aide. She went on to build a career in procurement with Nestlé, where she continued to grow professionally through her dedication and hard work.
Karen also had a natural entrepreneurial spirit. She was independent, determined, and always drawn to new ideas and possibilities. She enjoyed reading, cooking, exploring new opportunities, and spending time with her family.
Above all, Karen will be remembered for the love she gave so freely to her family. She was a mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence made a lasting impact. Her greatest joy was the people she loved, and she leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will forever be cherished.
Karen’s life was a gift to those who had the privilege of knowing her. While we mourn her absence, we will also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the love she leaves behind.
A family gathering will take place at a later date to celebrate Karen’s wonderful life and to share memories of the woman we will forever hold dear.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you keep Karen in your thoughts and give a happy thought to her life. Remember her with love. Remember her with laughter. And remember the beautiful moments she gave us.
