Marie Mariejeanne

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Marie Denise Mariejeanne, at the age of 89.

Originally from Mauritius, Marie Denise loved life and good company. A true bon vivant, she brought joy and a sense of celebration wherever she went. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her children and grandchildren will keep her memory alive through the stories they share and the love they pass on.

She was the beloved mother of Mirella, Richard and Bruno, and mother-in-law to Julliane Mariejeanne. She was a cherished grandmother to Stephan, Lukas and Caroline. She will also be fondly remembered by Christine, Lukas’s mother.

She was predeceased by her siblings Jacques, Yves, Hervey and Serge.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sister-in-law Florist Gouljhar and family; her dear cousin Ornella, her husband Yannick and their three boys, Matthias, Mattheo and Matthis; her nieces, nephews and cousins in Mauritius; the extended Mariejeanne, Frappier and Laventure families in Mauritius; and her friends in Canada and Mauritius.

Family and friends are invited to the visitation on Tuesday, November 3, from 4:00 p.m. at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Pickering Village, Ajax, Ontario.

A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 4, at 10:30 a.m. at Assomption de Notre-Dame Church in Oshawa. Following the Mass, Marie Denise will be laid to rest at Christ the King Cemetery, 7770 Steeles Avenue East, Markham, Ontario L6B 1A8.
