Michael Joseph O’Donnell

We are deeply saddened to announce that Michael Joseph O’Donnell of Pickering, Ontario passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday May 14, 2026.

Michael was born September 18th 1939 in Lettermacaward, Co. Donegal, Ireland.
Michael was a devoted and loving husband for 64 years to Ann. Michael cherished his daughters Carmel (Paul) , Jacqueline (James) and Grand Children Rachael, Johnathan, Norah, Kevin, his great granddaughter Kiera. He is also survived by his brother Paddy (Ute) and many adoring nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by parents Patrick and Agnes, siblings Mary, Lally, Aggie, Ann, James John and Colm.

Michael will be remembered as a quiet but strong man with a quick, quirky and witty come back. He paved his own path in life with confidence and determination. Even though Michael called Canada his home his heart and mind were in his homeland Ireland which he loved to return and share with his family.

Michael was a true gentleman, and he will be dearly missed.
