In Loving Memory

With great sadness, we share that Michael Oehlschlager passed away peacefully at the Ajax hospital on August 2, 2026.

Michael was a Beloved Father to Heidi and Connie, a proud Grandfather to Erika, Jordan, and Eva Maria, and a Cherished Great‑Grandfather to Kenan. He also leaves behind his niece, Susan and her children, Chelsea, Courtney and Lindsay and Great Great nephews Kayden and Adam, and Great Greta niece Anna.  He is reunited with his parents, his two sisters Else and Inge, and his beloved partner, Dulcie.

Michael lived a life full of stories, many of them from his years as a Chef, especially his time at the German Club in Toronto. He was fiercely independent and hardworking, funny when you least expected it, and gentle when it mattered most. He loved his garden, adored his cats, and built an impressive stamp collection that reflected his curiosity about the world.

He will be deeply missed by his friends in Masset, BC, a community that meant so much to him.

In honour of Michael’s love for animals, donations to a local animal shelter would be appreciated.
