Nick Shaw

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear husband and father, Nick Shaw.

Nick passed away suddenly on February 16th, 2025 at his home at the age of 71.

Nick is survived by his devoted wife Dolores, his cherished children Nicole and Joshua, and his loving siblings Mike and Joan. Nick is preceded in death by his parents Jeffery and Jumaraton, and siblings, Marion, Neisha, Nizam, Janet and Aleem.

He was a beloved husband to Dolores for 30 wonderful years – a testament to their love, care, devotion and resilience. Nick was also a dear father to Nicole and Joshua, who he loved immensely and without fault.

Nick had a huge heart that was evident in the way he showed his love, support and generosity through his actions. He loved to make others smile and laugh with his jokes and boundless wit. He enjoyed long walks, music and chatting endlessly with his loved ones. He will be remembered for his humour, comradery, and limitless love and devotion.

Nick will be greatly missed by his extended family and many friends.

A visitation in Nick’s memory will be held on Saturday February 22nd at McEachnie Funeral Home from 1 to 3pm, with a funeral service at 3pm. There will be a reception following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to CAMH (Centre for Addiction and Mental Health) will be appreciated by the family.
