It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Olive O’Gilvie, on February 9, 2026, at the age of 65, after a brief battle with cancer. Olive passed at home, surrounded by family and friends.

A woman of remarkable strength and compassion, she dedicated her life to helping others through her work as a Registered Nurse. Her kind heart, warm disposition and fun-loving nature will be greatly missed by her children, extended family and cherished friends.

Her family would like to extend their gratitude to the Ajax-Pickering Palliative Care Team for their support during Olive’s final months of life.

A visitation will take place at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax) on Thursday, February 26, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held the following day, on Friday February 27, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Global Kingdom (1250 Markham Rd, Scarborough). Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Duffin Meadows Cemetery (2505 Brock Rd North, Pickering).
