Oswald Allen

In Loving Memory

It is with gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Oswald Gustaviu Allen, affectionately known as Pops, Papa, Bro. Allen, Ossie, and Breda As.

Born on August 4, 1926, in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Oswald was a hardworking, gifted carpenter and lifelong learner. His skill and dedication were evident in the homes, furniture, and projects he built throughout his life, always using his talents to serve both family and community.

In 1955, he married Albertine Clemenson. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, one son, and one daughter. He leaves to cherish his memory five daughters, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many extended family members and dear friends.

Oswald will be remembered for his sense of humour, sharp memory, generosity, skilled hands, and enduring love for his family, church, and community. His life was a blessing, and his legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

The family is grateful for the many expressions of kindness, prayers, and support they have received.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bro. Allen “Pops” may be made
to support a Christian outreach ministry serving women and orphaned children in

Thanjs to Sister Audrey for conveying greetings to and from her father over the years and for the many times we shared about him and the rest of the family. Indeed he was a good father.

May the peace of God comfort the family as you reflect on the life of Pops and the legacy he has left behind. Sister Audrey I can truly say, I have met your dad through you.

You are continually in my prayers
