Viola Jayamalar Paul

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved amma, Viola Paul on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025, at the age 90.

Born on January 30, 1935 in Chavakachcheri, Sri Lanka, Viola was the second oldest child. She is the beloved sister of late Victor (Thayalam), Vimala (late Tom), Ranji (late Rajah), late Stella (late Arulappa), late Vincent (late Joyce), Veer (Rohini) and Kumar (Manohari). Viola is predeceased by her dear husband John and son Nihal. She will be missed by her son Juvan (Lakshmi) and daughter Dharmini (Krish) and six grandchildren Nirukshi (Jeremiah), Lakshman, Jessica (Thilakxshan), Ashna, Kavina (Enzo) and Nish. She leaves behind sweet great grand-daughters Sophia and Sasha who were just starting to get to know her.

Viola was known for her kindness to her neighbours, friends and family. We will miss her delicious cooking, her creative talents, including sewing and her sense of fashion. We proudly recognize her for what she has taught us, great work ethic, independence and tenacity to overcome hardship and life challenges with grace.

Visitations in Viola’s memory will be held on Friday, February 21st at McEachnie Funeral Home in Ajax from 5pm to 8pm and 9am on Saturday 22nd of February at Global Kingdom Ministries. There will be a funeral service at 10:30am to rejoice with our heavenly father as he welcomes Viola into his arms.

We will cherish the memories we had with Amma and will forever remember the impact she left on our lives.
