Winston Kelly

Winston Keith Kelly passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital on Monday, August 17, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by his family. He succumbed to complications following a short battle with throat cancer.

Winston was born in Jamaica and immigrated to Canada in the early 1960s. He possessed a great work ethic and was a loyal employee of Smith Packaging for 50 years. He truly enjoyed working and only recently retired at the age of 80. Winston was a great cook and enjoyed sharing it with his friends and family. Family and friends were very important to him, and he always made time for everyone.

The son of the late Lillian Orridge, Winston is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Jo-Anne. He was the loving stepfather of Diane, Robert, and Lisa, and is also survived by his stepchildren from his first marriage, Beverly and Lensworth. He was the proud grandfather to Evan and Kalli.

Winston was the dear brother of Camille and Aldrienne, and was predeceased by Denise, Howard, and Leighton. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Heath, Michele, Teanna, Avrille, Janienne, Che, Teniel, Milan, Lyndsey, and Brennan.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax) on Thursday, September 3, 2026. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a Memorial Service to follow in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Erskine Cemetery.
